Free California Travel Guide Makes Traveling Books Obsolete
(PRWEB) January 28, 2008 -- California, the second most populous state in the union, is widely known to tourists for destinations such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Disneyland, Golden Gate Bridge, Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. But it is the other destinations in California that will make your trip complete.
Before purchasing a travel book that may or may not be of value to you, it is recommended that all tourists check out a new website, USATravelPal.com and its newly completed California travel guide section.
With pictures, phone numbers and addresses of over 500 travel locations in the state of California, USATravelPal.com has become the largest free California travel resource online.
The website has split California into 12 separate sections: Northern California, Wine Country, San Francisco, Greater San Francisco, Gold Country, High Sierras, Deserts (http://www.usatravelpal.com/states/california/deserts/), Central Coast (http://www.usatravelpal.com/states/california/central-coast/), Los Angeles, Greater Los Angeles, Disneyland and San Diego. Within each of these sections are the details of many destinations. With the website being split up into so many sections, there's a travel destination just around the corner no matter where you may be situated. This makes the website an incredibly great resource for residents of California as a means of exploring in their own backyards, something that can be easy for folks to overlook.
According to David Terr, owner of USATravelPal.com, the goal of the website will be to have completed travel guides for all 50 states. As of today, travel guides have been completed for the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Montana, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
Each of the 58 national parks in the United States have been completed about a year ago. According to the website, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most visited of all, "Great Smoky Mountains National Park gets over twice as many visitors as any other national park in America."
